Question: When do I get paid?
Answer: You are paid on a weekly basis by BACS into your bank account. The money will be in your bank account by 5pm on a Friday.
Question: I think my pay is incorrect, what do I do?
Answer: Contact your local branch office and ask them to investigate your query. Wherever possible we will rectify errors ready for your next pay if not before.
Question: I am unsure about completing the on line expense claim portal, what do I do?
Answer: Contact your local TEMP-TEAM branch - a member of our team will be happy to help you!
Question: I don’t think my tax is right, what do I do?
Answer: Contact our Finance Department for advice. They may need to refer you on to our tax office.
Question: I have had a deduction from my pay and don’t understand why.
Answer: The only deductions you will see will be tax and National Insurance and if you have not paid a bill, we will sometimes be sent an attachment of earnings. This is a legal instruction to deduct a set amount from you for non payment. Please ask if you are unsure.
Question: Do I automatically get paid for Bank Holidays if I am not in work?
Answer: This will depend on where you are assigned to work. Generally, if you want to take any day as a paid holiday, you will need to contact your local branch office and book the day in. Some assignments may expect you to work on Bank Holidays as standard.
Question: How does holiday pay work?
Answer: In accordance with the Working Time Regulations all workers are entitled to 28 days paid statutory leave per year. Our holiday year runs January to December. All accrued holidays must be taken by the end of December. Your entitlement accrues from day 1 of your employment. Holiday pay is calculated as an average of your basic hourly earnings up to the previous 12 weeks. Any holidays can only be paid upon request through your local TEMP-TEAM branch office. Holidays can only be approved up to your accrued entitlement.
Question: Will I lose any unclaimed holiday pay?
Answer: If you do not book in all accrued holidays before the end of December, you will lose them. If you leave an assignment with TEMP-TEAM, your P45 will be requested as well as any outstanding holiday pay.
Question: What do I do if I am sick and cannot attend work?
Answer: You need to contact your local TEMP-TEAM branch office at least 1 hour before you are due to start work. For this reason we are contactable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is unacceptable to text or phone in after your start time.
Question: I have moved house and changed my bank account, who do I need to inform?
Answer: You need to contact your local branch office and notify them of your new details. You will be asked various identification questions to verify when you submit details. Bank details can only be changed by dropping into your local branch and providing your new details or sending the new details to us in writing.
Question: I am worried that I have given TEMP-TEAM a lot of personal details. What happens to my records?
Answer: TEMP-TEAM operates a strict Data Protection policy in line with current legislation. All details are kept for the required time should you leave your employment with TEMP-TEAM. After that duration, all of your records are shredded confidentially. If you are concerned about data protection, speak to your local branch.
